The cable car systems in Lana and its environs make it easy to get around without the need for independent transport. A ride on the Vigiljoch Cable Car, second-oldest cable car in Europe, is an adventure of its own. The cable car takes visitors from Lana directly to the Vigiljoch Cable Car mountain station, from which nostalgic old cable car ascends further into the heart of Mount Vigiljoch.
The short cable car ride at the start of the Val d’Ultimo/Ultental Valley leads to the village of Pavicolo/Pawigl, from where hikers can arrive on Mount Vigiljoch. The cable car from nearby Postal/Burgstall goes up to the Tschögglberg mountain plateau.
