MTB Mount Vigiljoch

Characteristics: Lively ride around Lana's local mountain. By using the cable car there are only a few short climbing sections - but some lovely descents.

Route description: Take the Vigiljoch Cable Car to the mountain station. In busy periods hikers take precedence. Departs every hour on the hour or more frequently.

Vigiljoch cable car mountain station near Lana (car park at valley station). Climb on broad forest road below the chairlift (trail no. 34). Right uphill. Left past St. Vigilius Church and continue to Seespitz inn. Continue left, descend on forest road towards alpine pasture (partially trail no. 9), continue right on the Eggersteig, left downhill on forest and tarmac road. Turn right onto the footpath (trail no. 34) to Lana.  Nice trail section to the Greitwies café. Finally briefly on Ulten Strasse back to the Vigiljoch Cable Car car park.
