The farmers’ markets of Merano/Meran are held every Saturday morning in the Via Galilei/Galileistraße street. In addition, the Merano Market (MM) is held on Saturdays from late March to early October in the upper Corso della Libertà/Freiheitsstraße street, offering Tyrolean specialties, natural products and handicrafts.

The large weekly market held on Fridays near the railways station offers Italian leatherware and South Tyrolean farmer's aprons. At these and other smaller specialty markets in South Tyrol, there are both Italian specialties and traditional South Tyrolean products available for sale.
