With its Racecourse, Merano has an internationally acclaimed venue for horse races. The undisputed highlight of its racing season is the weekend of the Merano Grand Prix in September. In tribute to this prestigious event, the Town’s Gardeners created a sculptural depiction of two riders on horseback jumping a hurdle. The artwork is made of plant material exclusively, with each figure measuring about two meters in height. While this twin topiary is normally put on display in the weeks leading up to the Grand Prix, this year it already adorns the Passer Promenade from late May.
Location: on the Passer Promenade (in front of the Kurhaus)
