Take the Texelbahn cable car up the Giggelberg to 1,536m then follow Route No. 24, along the Merano High Mountain Trail to the Nasereit Refuge at 1,523m. Route No. 8 leads to the Gingglalm and then finally to the Lodnerhütte mountain hut at 2,260 m. The hut is open in summer and serviced, allowing visitors to stop over-night. From there continue along Route No. 7 for a short distance in a southeasterly direction. The path forks splitting into the Franz Huber Trail leading up to Hochganghaus and Route No. 7 on the mountain trail, a moderately steep track up the grassy slopes, taking you to the Tablander Lacken mountain lakes. Then it’s a hike across a rocky stretch up to the Halsljoch Ridge at 2,808 m  (almost 2 hrs. from the hut). From Halsljoch take a left turn northwest, until crossing a rockface on a via ferrata with chains for a short stretch, up over a steep rock until you reach the summit at 3,037 m. The hike from Halsljoch Ridge lasts about 0.45 hrs and the descent is back along the same route.
