Sledging together, a sledge ride, has always been a popular leisure activity in South Tyrol. For sledging in Scena/Schenna, you go to Meran 2000 or towards the Hirzer mountain to the village of Talle/Tall.
Young and old toboggan enthusiasts in the ski area of Merano 2000 can use the kilometre-long natural toboggan run with several opportunities to stop for refreshments along the route. Then there is also the all-year rail toboggan run AlpinBob.
A winter holiday in Tall near Scena, however, means to enjoy winter in one of its most original forms in South Tyrol. Tobogganing on a well-kept toboggan run, or walking on cleared paths, or snowshoe hiking in unspoilt landscape. In the tranquil village of Talle, you can also enjoy rustic and traditional delicacies in traditional mountain huts. With the campaign Winter in Talle, inns like the Sterneck and Hochwies in Prenn, the Hiaslbauer in Obertall as well as the Haashof in Videgg, invite holiday makers and locals to enjoy and relax in untouched winter landscapes in South Tyrol. There is a toboggan run at the Haashof in Videgg and a toboggan piste for the little ones with toboggan rentals as well as snow shoe rentals. Several circular winter hikes start at the Sterneck inn in Prenn. The inn also offers snow shoe rentals.
