Llama meets Culture - Trekking Walk around "Montani" Castles

After first getting to know each other, starting from the animals’ winter quarters in Laces, with the llamas on a leash we walk through the surrounding apple meadows and along a serpentine path up to the castle ruins of Untermontani with a wonderful view over the entire central Vinschgau Valley. Continuing towards Obermontani Castle at the entrance to the Martell Valley, we may walk in the footsteps of our medieval ancestors and listen to the stories of our Llamero Florian before taking a rest at the castle. Florian will not only tell you everything about the llamas, but also about the historically significant surroundings. On an old Waalweg (irrigation channel) we then cross the woods above Laces with our cuddly four-legged friends that leads us to the sunny plateau of the Magrinböden. From there we descend via a forest path to the Bierkeller (refreshments possible), before returning to the starting point.

If desired, a shorter route is also possible via Saint Stephen's Chapel (14th century - most extensive Gothic fresco cycle in Tyrol) or just through the surrounding meadows! The tour is especially beautiful during the blossoming time of the apple trees!
