The Merano Spring event will be making a guest appearance in Tirolo and the entire village will be transformed into an alpine flower garden. All along the route to the castle, a variety of decorative artistic floral installations will be taking centre stage. Comfortable loungers will feature in all of Tirolo’s hotspots, from which the magnificent panoramic views of the Merano basin can be enjoyed.
Since 2017 a privet sculpture of an eagle has graced the square in front of Tirolo’s tourist information office. The eagle, which is depicted coming into land, represents the emblem of historic Tyrol as well as the Bird Care Centre.
As part of “Merano Spring” last year another privet figure was added to the townscape. Reflecting the turtle pond in Burglehen Park on the outskirts of Tirolo, a 3-metre-wide turtle is now watching over the grounds. In addition, this year, colourful swimming islands of flowers adorn the pond in Burglehen Park, which is a relaxing oasis that forms the beating heart of the village. When they leave, all visitors to Tirolo also receive a small memento of spring here - so they can rejoice in the awakening of nature at home too.
