The Riffian-Kuens/ Rifiano-Caines holiday areas are located near the spa town of Meran/Merano (five km), and close to the Hirzer hiking area and the Texelgruppe Nature Park with the Meran High Mountain Trail. Nestled between fruit meadows and vineyards, the villages have retained its traditional character.
Riffian (504m a.s.l.)
As a place of pilgrimage, many priceless cultural artifacts can be found in Riffian. The Pietà in the parish church from 1415 and the baptismal font (ca. 1380) are of great interest. In the cemetery chapel, there are original Gothic frescoes dating back to the year 1415.
Kuens (592m a.s.l.)
In Kuens, near Meran, visitors can see the famous earth pyramids of the Passeiertal Valley and the Tractor Museum of Kuens.
