Directions

From Pfelders to Innerhütt & Außerhütt

You start in Pfelders (1,624 m) and initially follow trail no. 24 towards the cable car’s lower station. Follow the paths across the meadows until you reach a side road, then follow it to the main road. There, cross the stream on the left and continue along the stream until you reach the Bergkristall climbing area. From there, follow the trail down via the natural toboggan run to Innerhütt (1,420 m).

Across the Farmazonbach to Ulfas

Continue along the main road to the locality of Außerhütt, where you turn onto a forest road. After a few minutes, turn left onto a narrower hiking trail through the forest. Cross the forest, cross the stream in the Farmazontal, and then climb a short, steeper section to another forest road. Follow this road downhill towards the valley, passing the television tower, until you reach the Ulfaser Straße. After a few minutes walking downhill, you reach the little church in Ulfas (1,370 m).

Continuing via Christl to Matatz

From Ulfas, continue past several traditional mountain farms and mostly through shady woodland to Christl (1,029 m). You then follow a longer section along the paved road before the trail takes you through another wooded area to your stage destination: the scattered settlement of Matatz (1,052 m) above St. Martin in Passeier.
