Alpine Hut Hike at Meran 2000

The mountain hut hike from Falzeben leads to the most beautiful viewing platforms in the Merano 2000 holiday area and thanks to the many places to stop for refreshments with sun terraces, offers a hiking experience full of enjoyment and relaxation.

From the parking place in Falzeben the way no. 14 leads past the chalet Zuegg to the summit station Meran 2000 (time to walk: about 1 hour, accessible also by the Falzeben cable car or the Meran 2000 Cable Car).

The way no. 3 passes the Waidmannalm mountain hut and takes to the Meraner Hütte mountain hut. From there follow the European Distance Footpath E5 to Kreuzjöchl, here take trail no. 15 (on the right side) to Maiseralm and Moschwaldalm mountain huts, then descent to Falzeben.

Coming from both directions of the freeway Meran/Merano - Bolzano/Bozen (MEBO), take the exit of Meran Süd/Merano Sud and follow directions towards Meran first, to then turn right towards Hafling/Avelengo. Shortly before Hafling Dorf/Avelengo Paese turn left towards Falzeben.

With the bus until the bus stop Falzeben:

• Bus no. 225 "Meran - Hafling - Falzeben"
• Bus no. 204 "Hafling - Vöran - Mölten - Terlan - Bozen" (until Hafling Dorf, than change to busline no. 225)
