General description

The Laugenspitze is with 2.434 meters the highest mountain of the Nonsberg group in South Tyrol. Its striking double peak consists of the big Laugen and the small Laugen. The peak is accessible by several marked hiking trails. The easiest of these paths leads over the gentle south ridge.

Route description

Mpw you are walk over a very steep forest road to Unterplatzers or Platzers and reach, always on an ascending forest path, the Platzer Jöchl.

Hiking through forests and meadows, the path leads you along the barren slopes of the mountain to the Laugenscharte. In front of you lies the charming Laugensee between the Great and the Small Laugenspitze. From here you will reach the summit of the Great Lye Peak via the North Ridge.
