The Aldo Bonacossa Trail in Deutschnonsberg

The high mountain trail with start at the Gampenpass mountain pass

This challenging 50 km trail from the Gampenpass (Passo Palade in Italian) leads all the way to Rabbi in Trentino. It takes its name from Count Aldo Bonacossa (1885 – 1975), the renowned mountaineer from Milan and author of several hiking guides.

The multi-stage high mountain trail has a number of stopping points with breath-taking views of the surrounding Alpine scenery. En route to Rabbi, the Aldo Bonacossa trail leads across magnificent pastures and ridges over the Gampenpass as far as the Laugensee lake and the Passo Palù mountain pass.
