The Blossom Festival days are just as much part of the Val d'Adige/Etschtal Valley spring as bells ringing out at Easter. They will take place in Lana, Cermes/Tscherms, Postal/Burgstall and Gargazon/Gargazzone.
And what by now is the 23th edition of this popular series of events promises once again to become a festival for the senses full of varied experiences.
One of the high points of the Blossom Festival is the farmers "Street Market of Regional Delicacies", taking place in the middle of the historic town centre of Lana. About 40 farmers’ booths and four food and drink booths will offer healthy products of their own designated with the quality brand "Roter Hahn" (red rooster), all of which are presented by the producers themselves.
The Blossom Courtyard Festival will take you literally right into kitchens and cellars. On a hike supported by a free shuttle service through the spring landscape full of flowers, you enter selected historical courtyards and can try the farmers’ quality products – right at the source, so to say.
During the time of the annual Blossom Festival (Blütenfesttage), the villages of Lana, Foiana/Völlan, Cermes/Tscherms, Postal/Burgstall and Gargazzone/Gargazon are covered in flowers. The high point of the event is the Street Market of Regional Delicacies (Bäuerliche Genussmeile) held in the center of Lana, with farmers and gourmets gathering around stands marked with the Roter Hahn seal of quality.
A related event is the Blossom Farm Festival (Blütenhöfefest), which provides visitors with a glimpse of the kitchens and cellars on local farms. The older, most established farms also provide on-site tastings of their high-quality products.
