"Hinzl" Trail in Tablá

General description

The "Hinzl" ring trail offers a tour full o prompts to help you discover the history of Tablá. Divided into fifteen stations, it will lead you from the centre of the Tablá village to the woods on the outskirts, trough clearings, flowering meadows, birch woods and pine forests, pastures and rocky outcrops. In addition to brief tales, legends, anecdotes, historical details and oddities concerning craftsmanship and farm life, you will discover the beauty of the plant life and you can be rejuvenated in romantic and peaceful places, admiring - from magnificent viewpoints - aview that embraces Tablá and Naturno.

Route description

The starting point of the hike is the village square near the primary school in Tabland next to the church. From there you walk briefly down the road, past the nearby bus stop, then immediately turn left and hike on the paved road of the marker no. 4 following in the direction of Schleidertal, past the Ritz'n mill and on to the shooting range. Then it's on the path no. 4 moderately ascending through the forest in a westerly direction to station Nr. 9 (Birkenwald). From there, the hike now leads in an easterly direction to the Hasler Weide. Afterwards it goes downhill always following the sign "Hinzlweg";, past the farms Ragoier and Oberwötzel to the Tablander Hauptstraße and on this again in a western direction to the starting point in Tabland.
