Very Strange Music – o l’arte dell’ascolto/oder: die Kunst des Zuhörens
10/03/2026 19:30 - 21:30
At a time when algorithms keep playing us similar sounds in personalised playlists, when the abundance of music paradoxically makes it more difficult to discover new sound languages, and when shuffle functions and streaming services such as Spotify hinder conscious, concentrated listening to an album in its entirety – this is exactly where our meetings come in. Very Strange Music invites you to listen together and celebrates the art of listening, the art of hearing. In a relaxed atmosphere, Federico Campana (composer and director), Cornelia Schöpf (filmmaker and punk band member) and David Torri (musician and sound artist) present selected pieces of music, give a brief introduction to their special features and then open the space for pure listening. From Wendy Carlos to Romanian hyperpop, from Peruvian punk to Karlheinz Stockhausen, an open soundscape unfolds in 360 degrees – a free, lively exchange in a relaxed setting.
