Easy loop walk from Rabland along the Rabland irrigation channel path, through orchards and green riverside vegetation, returning via the sports centre and campsite.
The Rabland irrigation channel draws its water from the Zielbach stream coming from the Ziel Valley and is still used to irrigate Rabland’s orchards. This short, easy loop is ideal for families and anyone looking for a relaxed walk with plenty of nature, orchard scenery and a touch of local history.

Rabland (Raiffeisenkasse) – St James’ Church – Hanswirt (Roman milestone) – Happichl Inn – Rabland irrigation channel path – Partschins sports centre – campsite – Rabland (Raiffeisenkasse)
The starting point and destination is the Raiffeisenkasse bus stop on the Vinschgau Main Road in Rabland. From the centre, the route heads towards the main road, passing St James’ Church and the Hanswirt with its well-known Roman milestone. It then follows Gerold Street, winding between houses and orchards to the western access point of the channel near Happichl Inn.
Here, the most charming section begins: the Rabland irrigation channel path. This short, level walk of around 800 m leads eastwards, accompanied by the gentle sound of running water. Birch trees, poplars, alders and dense riverside vegetation line the path, creating a peaceful, green corridor.
At the end of the channel path, the route continues to a paved road. Turn right and follow the road past the Partschins sports centre and the campsite, along Ziel Street back towards Rabland. After the campsite, turn left into Hans Guet Street, continue via Lahn Street towards the main road, and return to the bus stop (or the information office).
