South Tyrolean farmer's toast

4 Vinschger Paarln (typical bread) from the Oberbrunnhof in Quadrat
South Tyrolean bacon (sliced) from the Niedereben organic farm in Rabland
Mountain cheese (sliced) from the Algund Alpine dairy
½ onion (sliced)
Preparation
In South Tyrol, the typical Vinschger Paarl is used for the original farmer's toast "Bauerntoast".
Cut the Vinschger Paarl lengthwise and top with bacon, cheese and onion as desired.
Put the toast in the oven at 200° for about 8-10 minutes until crispy.
Add a cocktail sauce e voilà. Bon appetit! (or as they say in South Tyrol: An Guaten 😉)
