Sunny panoramic hike from Partschins to Naturns via the Sonnenberg Panoramic Trail 91, offering wide views over the Vinschgau and Adige valleys.
A sunny panoramic hike linking Partschins and Naturns via the Sonnenberg mountain slope. The Vinschgau Sonnenberg is famous for its distinctive steppe-like vegetation, rare in the Alps. Due to its exposure, the hike is best enjoyed in spring and autumn.

Partschins bus turning area – Max von Isser Street – Peter Mitterhofer Square – church square – Wasserfallweg – Sonnenbergweg – suspension bridge – farm inn Winklerhof – Sonnenberg Panoramic Trail 91 – Naturns
The walk starts in Partschins. From the bus turning area, head into Max von Isser Street to Peter Mitterhofer Square. Continue right to the church square with the St Peter and Paul Parish Church. Then turn left and walk a short way uphill on Waterfall Path to the junction with the Sonnenberg Path (trail 39).
Follow trail 39 towards the suspension bridge and on to the Winklerhof farm inn. From here, the route continues directly along the Sonnenberg Panoramic Trail 91 to Naturns. The trail stays at an almost constant altitude and offers outstanding views over the Adige Valley and the Vinschgau Valley. Only right after the suspension bridge is there a short, steeper ascent—after that, the walk continues at a comfortable gradient.
At the end of the panoramic trail, the route descends briefly into Naturns. Here, a visit to the famous St Prokulus Church and the Prokulus Museum is well worth it.
