The Merano Theatre Festival presents the world premiere of "The Silence of the City", a new play by Luis Zagler directed by Torsten Schilling. Performed on the spectacular open-air stage above the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, the production combines breathtaking scenery with outstanding contemporary theatre.
The play explores truth, media influence and social responsibility through a compelling story that blends the elegance of the Belle Époque with issues that resonate strongly today.
Since 2018, the Merano Theatre Festival has become one of the leading open-air festivals for contemporary drama in the Alpine region.
Gates open at 7.00 pm with food and drinks available on site. Performances begin at 9.00 pm. Free parking is provided for festival visitors.
Approach
The festival venue is located above the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, next to St. Valentine Church. Please use Parking Area 2 of the Gardens. The venue is only a short walk away.

Weather-appropriate clothing and a light jacket for the evening are recommended. Comfortable footwear is advised.
