Spring at the Gardens - A Day for the Whole Family

In the springtime the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle are at its most varied – and are nothing less than fascinating. Together with our garden guides you can learn the secrets of the plant world at a variety of different workshops, even becoming a researcher yourself. This special springtime event at the Gardens offers a wide array of options: see, hear, smell and comprehend. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to participate in this amazing experience of plants!

Bus numbers 1, 1 (Trauttmansdorff) and 4 (Maia Alta/Obermais) depart at 20-minute intervals from the Merano/Meran town centre as well as the central railway station.

Almost all of the paths running through the gardens are wheelchair and stroller friendly; all stairs and grades over 8% are marked on the overview map. In the Visitors’ Center, manual and electric-powered wheelchairs are available for visitors, free of charge.
