Louis, a reserved and quiet man, runs a funeral home, while Igor, a forty-year-old philosophy enthusiast, has been permanently disabled due to cerebral paralysis. The two do not know each other at least, not until Louis hits Igor with his car while Igor is making home deliveries for work. Both live in profound solitude: Louis, to forget past pains, has confined his life entirely to work, and Igor, because of his disability, is the first to isolate himself from the world, taking refuge in the words of books. Through a series of coincidences, the two embark on a journey together to the south of France, a trip during which they learn to feel carefree for the first time, not least thanks to the birth of a new, wonderful friendship.
