The traditional Contact Improvisation jam session organised by the
Alps Move festival is taking place this year in the Sala Civica in Merano.
The jam is open to everyone and will be led by the Basque dancer Iosu Lezameta. Contact Improvisation explores the nature of physical contact and interaction in dance. It incorporates elements of improvisation and acrobatic virtuosity alongside a meditative dimension linked to relaxation. It encourages awareness and creative development, emphasising the spontaneity of movement as technical skills progress.
Approach
From Merano railway station, you can take bus number 1 to the ‘Otto Huber’ stop. From there, it’s about a 5-minute walk to the Sala Civica.
