Together with his best friend Philippe and his dog Lucky, filmmaker Mathias sets off on a cycle journey across Europe: the three of them follow the route that Mathias’s late son Youri had taken himself a few years earlier – from the French Atlantic coast via Vienna to the Black Sea. What begins as a quiet quest to piece together memories turns into a surprisingly light-hearted adventure full of unexpected encounters. With each stage of the journey, the two friends come to terms with their loss – sometimes in a touching way, sometimes with humour – whilst still celebrating life.
