Movie in italian language: La torta del presidente

While the population of Iraq in the 1990s struggles to survive war and famine, it is mandatory in all schools across the country to prepare a cake to celebrate President Saddam Hussein's birthday. Despite her pleas not to be chosen, 9-year-old Lamia is selected for this 'prestigious' task. Arriving in the city with her grandmother, she escapes her supervision to search for the necessary ingredients for the cake. Together with her friend Saeed and her rooster, she will face a series of sometimes adventurous, sometimes dangerous, but also funny misadventures, ultimately succeeding – perhaps – in her intent.

From the Merano train station take the city bus to the bus stop "Theaterplatz", from there is is a 5 min walk.
