Veronika Kofler from the Tiolahof in Matsch loves turning the wool from her wonderful sheep into all sorts of useful items. In this introductory course, the farmer shares her knowledge and teaches participants how to felt. During the session, she explains more about the valuable properties of sheep’s wool. The breed of sheep, how they are cared for, and the method of wool processing all influence the final result of the felting. During the morning, participants will learn the key techniques and felt a simple item, such as a seat cushion.
Approach
At Merano train station take either the bus no. 1 or bus no. 4 and get off at the Elisabeth Park stop at via Cavour. From there it is a five-minute walk to via Ortwein.
