Cornwall, 1996. Stanton Wood is a large, historic estate that houses a boarding school for boys who have been rejected by all other schools on disciplinary grounds, offering them a last chance at rehabilitation. Funds are scarce and, consequently, with extremely limited staff, there are few pupils in residence – all of whom, moreover, are in great need of close supervision. On an extremely hectic and chaotic day, Headmaster Steve and his teachers have to deal with a documentary film crew that invades their premises, seeking to explore this educational and social experiment and to delve into the boys’ inner lives – and beyond.
