On their last night together, high school graduates Jo and Raissa stumble upon a mysterious portal that transports them to the remote island of Nakali. There, they encounter creatures from Filipino mythology, some of whom are friendly, whilst others are hostile. With the help of Raww, a kind-hearted but clumsy were-dog, and a small group of new companions, they must face the terrifying Manananggal. They soon realise that their return is only possible if they give up their shared memories. The two then embark on a desperate race against time to leave the island before their friendship is lost forever.
