Every year in August, a particularly large number of shooting stars streak across the night sky. From July 7 to August 24, the so-called “Perseids” reach their peak this year. This will also be the case on Friday, August 14— and the Knottnkino in Verano is the ideal place to look out for these “lucky charms.”
Bring a picnic blanket, listen to pleasant sounds, and enjoy delicious snacks.
Members of the South Tyrolean amateur astronomers “Max Valier” will also be there to share interesting facts about the night sky and bring telescopes along.
The Knottnkino is only accessible on foot (approx. 45 mins).
Coming from both directions of the freeway Meran/Merano - Bolzano/Bozen (MEBO), take the exit of Meran Süd/Merano Sud and follow directions towards Meran first, to then turn right towards Hafling/Avelengo, follow the signs to Vöran/Verano – about 2 kilometers before Vöran near the inn Eggerhof is the parking place.
