The hike starts at the Texelbahn cable car mountain station. From here, follow the Merano High Mountain Trail 24 towards Nasereit Hut (1,523 m), enjoying wide panoramic views along the way.
From Nasereit Hut, descend on trail 8B to Steinerhof farm (1,442 m) and continue downhill to the junction signed "Alpinsteig Wasserfall" Waterfall Alpine Trail. Turn right and follow the path along the Zielbach stream. Turquoise pools, small cascades and a striking rock formation known locally as a "Knott" accompany the descent.
A short detour leads to a viewpoint with a picnic area, overlooking small waterfalls. The trail then drops in switchbacks to the restaurant Wasserfall (from here you can also reach the waterfall viewing platform). Shortly afterwards you reach the impressive Partschins Waterfall (97 m / 1,060 m).
Continue descending on trail 8B to restaurant Birkenwald, then follow trail 1 along the Zielbach stream to the farm inn Winklerhof, and on to the Texelbahn cable car valley station, where the hike ends.
