Hiking tour from Rabland to Aschbach

General description
Tour Starting Point
Rabland/Rablà Saring bridge
Tour End
Rabland/Rablà Saring bridge

The starting point of this moderately difficult hike is the parking lot at the Saring Bridge in Rabland (Partschins) or the Rabland train station. Passing by the Aschbach cable car and the Laterne restaurant/pizzeria, follow trail No. 28, which leads through picturesque forests and numerous viewpoints.
One of the first highlights of the tour is the Biohof Niedereben. This organic farm is known for its farm sales, where visitors can buy fresh, organic products directly from the producer. This offers an excellent opportunity to discover regional specialties and support local agriculture.
Continuing on trail 28, you reach the well-known viewpoint and rest area "Roppnkoufl". From there, the path continues uphill until you finally reach the quaint and scenic mountain hamlet of Aschbach. Aschbach offers not only breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain landscape but is also a testament to the traditional South Tyrolean construction and way of life. The peaceful atmosphere, the typical farms and mountain meadows, as well as the Church of Heiligen Herz Jesu and the famous Church of Maria Schnee, make this place a special experience of this hike.

The return to the starting point is comfortably made with the Aschbach cable car. This ride offers a unique perspective on the Vinschgau and the Merano basin from above and rounds off the hiking experience.

Overall, this tour offers an excellent mix of natural beauty, local culture, and sustainable tourism. It is perfectly suited for hikers who want to experience authentic South Tyrol.
