Scenic hike from the Texelbahn mountain station on the Merano High Mountain Trail 24, to the Partschins/Parcines Waterfall.
This rewarding hike combines the panoramic Merano High Mountain Trail with a varied descent past historic mountain farms and down to one of the Alps’ most impressive natural highlights: the Partschins/Parcines Waterfall. A perfect choice for walkers who enjoy scenery, alpine culture and the power of water.

The hike starts at the Texelbahn cable car mountain station. Follow the Merano High Mountain Trail 24 towards Nasereit Hut (1,523 m), with wide views into the Ziel Valley and the Texel Group mountains.
From the hut, descend on trail 8B to Steiner farm (1,442 m) and continue towards Fletscher farm (1,300 m). Turn left and follow the paved road briefly, then join trail 1A. The route passes Gasthaus Prünster and continues on trail 26 to Gasthaus Wasserfall, where you can reach the viewpoint.
After visiting the Partschins/Parcines Waterfall (97 m / 1,060 m), continue descending on trail 8B/23 to Gasthaus Birkenwald. From there, follow trail 1 along the Zielbach stream to Winklerhof farm inn. The final section leads to the Texelbahn cable car valley station, where the hike ends.
Alternatively, you can take bus line 265 from the waterfall back to Partschins, saving around 40 minutes of walking time.
