Herb hike from Vöran to Hafling

Many edible herbs grow along our hiking trails, but it is not always easy to recognise them. Your guide Gerlinde teaches you which wild herbs are edible. On this hike, you not only gather herbs, but also use them to process a tasty herb ricotta cheese at the Lenkhof farm (dairy farm), including tasting. Besides telling you about herbs, Gerlinde takes you to fantastic viewpoints and gives you an insight into the mountain world in South Tyrol.

Route: LeNoir car park in Verano - in the direction of the Leadner Alm - Knottnkino - Lenkhof farmstead - return by public transport

Approach

Coming from both directions of the freeway Meran/Merano - Bolzano/Bozen (MEBO), take the exit of Meran Süd/Merano Sud and follow directions towards Meran first, to then turn right towards Hafling/Avelengo, follow the street to Vöran/Verano – the parking place LeNoir is located above Grüner Baum Restaurant and Das Stübele Restaurant.

With the bus until the bus stop "Sportplatz Vöran":

Bus no. 204 "Hafling - Vöran - Mölten - Terlan - Bozen"
Bus no. 225 "Meran - Hafling - Falzeben" (until Hafling Dorf, than change to busline no. 204)
