Moderate hike from Lana via Völlan to the Völlaner Badl and up to St Hippolyt Hill.

General description

This hike leads from Lana along the Brandis Waal trail to Völlan, on to the Völlaner Badl and up to St Hippolyt Hill. It combines open views, quiet woodland sections and cultural highlights along the way. Points of interest include St Margaret’s Church, the Farmers’ Museum in Völlan, the historic Völlaner Badl and the Romanesque church of St Hippolyt.

The highest point of the route is St Hippolyt Hill, with views over the Adige Valley. The hike is of moderate difficulty, and the section between Lana and Völlan is steep in places. The first part is often sunny in the morning and early afternoon. Extra care is therefore advisable in the warmer months. This route is suitable for active walkers who enjoy combining landscape, culture and a varied trail.
