Jogging on the Marling Waalweg Trail

The all-season accessible jogging path runs along the Marlinger Waalweg trail.

General description

12 kilometers long, the Marlinger Waalweg trail is a popular hiking and jogging trail which runs along the former irrigation channels, the longest of its kind in South Tyrol.

Route description

From the village square in Marling the route heads along path no. 33 up to the Marling Waalweg trail. Follow the Waalweg signs toward Töll until the Lahnweg trail turnoff. This path leads down the mountain to Nörderstrasse, which takes you back again into the center of the village of Marling.

Coming from the Vinschgau/Val Venosta valley or from the city Meran/Merano into the centre of Marling/Marlengo.

Parking

On the public car parks in the center of Marling/Marlengo (next to the fire brigade and in the Traubenwirt's park) can be parked for free for 120 minutes (with parking ticket!). For a longer parking time parking tickets can be solved (0,50 € / hr), whereby two hours are always free.

With the bus line 212 directly into the centre of Marling/Marlengo
