Families visiting Marlengo/Marling for hiking may choose from three different altitude levels. Leisurely walks along the bottom of the valley pass through fields and pastures, and are ideal for relaxing in the outdoors. The popular Marlinger Waalweg trail on the slopes of the Marling mountain forms part of the wider chain of the Meraner Waalrunde Circuit Trail. The hike along the Marling High Mountain Trail is also very popular with families and hikers in general.
There are countless trails running across Marling mountain and Mount Vigiljoch, including the Eggersteig trail and the Martinsweg trail. The numerous mountain huts and shelters found on the hillside trails and pastures make for an ideal stopping place.
