14th Exhibition of mushrooms at Merano

From Saturday 5 September, Urania Meran will be transformed into a mushroom kingdom: two to three hundred species are waiting to be discovered – from colourful edible mushrooms to potentially deadly specimens. The 14th Merano Mycological Exhibition, the only one of its kind in the Burgraviato region, is organised in collaboration with the Bolzano branch of the Bresadola Mycological Association.



A special opportunity: on Saturday, you can bring along the mushrooms you’ve picked and have them identified by experts – free of charge and on the spot.



On the programme:

🍄 Sat 5 September from 4 p.m. to 4.45 p.m.: talk by Dr Karl Kob – “Edible Mushrooms: Nutrition, Health and Safety” - European culinary traditions, flavour, nutritional value, risks and proven preventive measures. Registration required: at info@urania-meran.it, 0473 230219 o www.urania-meran.it



Dr Karl Kob, a doctor and national president of the Bresadola Mycological Associations, will give a talk this afternoon on the topic of edible mushrooms: nutrition, health and safety.

Approach
At Merano train station take either the bus no. 1 or bus no. 4 and get off at the Elisabeth Park stop at via Cavour. From there it is a five-minute walk to via Ortwein.
