Equestrian Events in Hafling, Vöran and Meran 2000

On the mountain plateau of Hafling/Avelengo, Meran 20000 and Vöran/Verano, there are many events related to the famous Haflinger horse. Riding stables offer personalized custom holidays for the entire family, from stable tours and introductory courses to horse riding on the longe, as well as rides and day trips.

In winter, riders and horses show their skills during the skijoring and night skijoring events through the snowy landscape. A highlight of the riding season is the Traditional Haflinger Horse Race (Haflinger Galopprennen) on Easter Monday, held at the Maia Race Course in Meran/Merano. For this event, the town of Meran comes alive with decorated horse-drawn carriages and brass bands.
