Workshop Oplab: Punkt, Strich, Punkt I Punto, striscia, punto

9/19/2026 10:30 - 12:00

A spot, another spot and yet another spot. So, a ladybird? But the spots aren’t quite round. So do they belong to a Dalmatian or a cheetah? Now they’re glistening in the sun! A trout swims past. Together, we’ll go in search of clues. Not clues on the ground, but on fur, plumage and scales. We’ll zoom in really close and then zoom out again, discovering how shapes come together to form patterns. Each of these patterns has a story to tell us. We’ll take this language of nature with us and use its building blocks to create our own patterns.

Workshop available for bookings by nursery schools.

The exhibition *Pictures That Explain the World* and the accompanying workshops shine a spotlight on non-fiction picture books, revealing them as dynamic and inspiring spaces for thought and experience, where aesthetics and knowledge are inextricably linked. Their universal language is accessible to all age groups. Beauty becomes the key to discovery and insight.
