General description

This scenic walk connects Partschins with Naturns along the sunny Sonnenberg panoramic path. The route runs mostly through open terrain and offers impressive views over the Adige Valley and the Merano basin. Thanks to its largely level course, the walk is ideal for leisurely hikers looking for a relaxed and scenic experience. Particularly recommended in spring and autumn.

Partschins – Sonnenberg Path – Partschins suspension bridge – Winklerhof – Sonnenberg Panorama Path 91 – Naturns

The walk starts in the village centre of Partschins. From here, the Sonnenberg Path leads gently uphill through open landscapes and light woodland towards the Partschins suspension bridge. After crossing the bridge, the route continues to the Winklerhof, where beautiful views over the Adige Valley open up.

From the Winklerhof, the path follows the Sonnenberg Panorama Path 91 towards Naturns. The route is mostly level and runs through a wide, sun-exposed cultural landscape. Along the way, several benches invite walkers to pause and enjoy the views over the Merano basin.

The walk ends in Naturns. The return to Partschins is conveniently made by public bus.

Landscape & requirements

Sun-exposed and windy path with only a few shaded sections (around 90% open terrain), short stretches through deciduous woodland, fine panoramic views, benches along the route, mostly level terrain with a few short, steeper ascents and descents. Especially recommended in spring and autumn.
