The race begins at Rathausplatz Square in Naturno 🏘️, situated at an altitude of 530 meters. After the initial kilometers on asphalt and gravel 🛣️, the route transitions into steep climbs ⛰️ and narrow trails. Here, participants face a challenging mix of steep ascents 🔝 and descents that lead to the race's highest point at 1,584 meters 🏔️.

Following a brief flat section, the path enters the 1,000 Steps Gorge – a demanding climb featuring numerous steps 🪜 and a suspension bridge 🌉, offering participants breathtaking views of the surrounding nature and the depths below .

The run begins in the enchanting village of Naturns and quickly leads onto asphalt roads before entering the narrow trails. Here, a steep ascent starts, winding through dense forests 🌳 and alongside fascinating meadows 🌼.

On the Merano High Mountain Trail, it crosses an impressive suspension bridge 🌉 to Galmein Hof, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains ⛰️.

After a long descent through the alpine landscape, passing by charming farms 🏡, a flat trail follows, leading into a final ascent. Finally, it’s back over varied paths to the finish at the town square 🏛️. An unforgettable experience in nature! ✨

Just for Fun! 🏞️ Alpenplus Ötzi Trailrun 2025 🏃‍♀️

Get ready for 8 km and 330 meters of elevation gain through the beautiful landscape of Naturns! 🌲The route starts in the village and leads over paved paths and gravel roads to the first trail. After about 2 km, a steep ascent begins to the Wallburgweg, followed by a 3 km long trail that offers breathtaking views 🌄 of the surrounding area .

After a short, steep climb ↗️, there is a descent of 200 meters into the valley, before the final ascent of 150 meters takes you along varied paths to the finish 🏅 at the town square .

📌New in 2025: Youngsters born in 2012 and later can now participate too! 👟 Perfect for everyone who wants to experience trail running in a relaxed atmosphere.
