In Lana and its environs, numerous mountain hut, taverns and inns are to be found along the hiking trails, where hikers can stop for a bite to eat.
South Tyrolean specialties include stuffed ravioli (
Schlutzkrapfen) and savory dumplings (
Knödel) with drinks such as homemade elderberry juice, local wines or fresh spring water from Monte San Vigilio.
Traditional and modern mountain huts can be found in the car-free hiking area of
Mount Vigiljoch. In the nearby Merano 2000 hiking and skiing area, as well as in the Deutschnonsberg/Alta Val di Non area and on the Tschögglberg/Monzoccolo plateau, numerous mountain inns are also perfect for a relaxing stop.
