Autumn family day + Travel in the Middle Ages

Autumn Family Day On Sunday, 8 Ocotber 2023, the Touriseum will be looking at all aspects of travel in the Middle Ages.

Trauttmansdorff Castle will be playing host to its annual Family Day on Sunday, 8 October 2023. On this date, the Touriseum – South Tyrol’s regional museum for tourism – will be looking at all aspects of travel in the Middle Ages.
From 11 am to 4 pm, the Knights of Andrian will be camping out at Trauttmansdorff Castle and demonstrating how people travelled in the late Middle Ages. At 11.30 am and 3.30 pm, Ulrike Buhl will give an entertaining talk in the Castle’s Deuster Hall on the reasons and routes for travel in the Middle Ages.
There is also a varied programme with various interactive stations for both children and adults in the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle.

A colourful day with the garden guides will reveal secrets of the autumnal plant world: Why are leaves colourful? What kinds of fruit grow at the gardens? Are things still flowering? The Autumn Day offers a varied program in the gardens: see, hear, smell, touch. Visitors of all ages can join in on an intriguing botanical experience.

Admission to the Touriseum is included in the ticket for the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle.
