Baking Spitzbuben cookies is a must during Advent! These delicate, jam-filled treats are a perfect addition to any holiday cookie plate. 🍪 Why not try this authentic recipe and bring a little piece of South Tyrol into your Christmas baking? ❤️🎅
Ingredients:
📌 150 g butter
📌 125 g sugar
📌 1/2 pack vanilla sugar
📌 1/2 tsp grated lemon zest 🍋
📌 1 pinch of salt
📌 2 eggs 🥚
📌 300 g flour
📌 1/2 pack baking powder
📌 Apricot jam for filling 🍑
📌 Powdered sugar for dusting ❄️
Instructions:
1️⃣ Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2️⃣ Beat butter and sugar until creamy, then mix in vanilla sugar, lemon zest, and salt.
3️⃣ Add the eggs and knead the dough with flour and baking powder until smooth.
4️⃣ Chill the dough for 30 minutes. ❄️
5️⃣ Roll out the dough, cut out rings and cookies, and bake at 180°C (356°F) for approx. 8 minutes. 🔥
6️⃣ Let them cool, fill with jam, and dust the rings with powdered sugar. 🍑✨
