Cultural trip to the Gadertal
On this cultural trip we focus on the architectural heritage of the Viles, the traditional Ladin courtyard farms. Accompanied by the ethnologist and toponymist Johannes Ortner, we learn interesting facts about Ladin culture and onomastics.
We visit the parish of Enneberg with the Gran Ciasa (Moregg estate) and the parish church, followed by a contemporary example of Viles architecture in Pliscia. After a lunch break in St. Martin in Thurn, we continue to Lungiarü (Campill). There, together with cultural expert Giovanni Mischi, we explore the hamlets Seres and Miscí as well as the mill valley (Val di Morins) – a landscape that has preserved its original Ladin character to this day.
