Nals-Margreid Winery

Viticulture, tradition and innovation

The Nals-Margreid Winery dates back to 1932. Stretching from Nalles/Nals to Margré/Margreid across 150 hectares, the wine cooperative’s 140 vineyards produce over 30 wines, including both white and red varietals.

While still taking care of the environment, the vineyards produce excellent red and white wines of consistent quality, which continue to receive awards. The 2010 Vintage Sirmian Pinot Blanc was listed as one of the best white South Tyrolean wines in the influential 2012 edition of the Gambero Rosso Wines of Italy Guide.

The Nals-Margreid Winery offer guided tours, ending with a wine tasting.

Wine and Design in the Nals-Margreid Winery
The cellar buildings are themselves noteworthy. Renovations completed in 2011 successfully balance modern design with traditional heritage, reflecting the aspirations and high standards of the Nals-Margreid Winery. The design, by South Tyrolean architect Markus Scherzer, ensures that local materials used in the construction harmoniously match the new buildings with their surroundings.
