And because it’s just too delicious, here’s an authentic South Tyrolean recipe so you can bring this Alpine delight to your own kitchen:🍽
📝 Recipe for 4 servings of Kaiserschmarrn
Ingredients:
-150 g flour
-200 ml milk
-6 eggs (separated)
-1 pinch of salt
-1 tbsp sugar
-1 tbsp oil (for the pan)
To finish:
-25 g butter
-1 tsp vanilla sugar
-1 tbsp sugar
-Icing sugar
👩🍳 Preparation
1️⃣ Stir the flour, milk and salt into a smooth batter. Add the egg yolks.
2️⃣ Beat the egg whites with 1 tbsp sugar until stiff and gently fold into the mixture.
3️⃣ Heat the oil in a large frying pan and pour in the batter. Cook until golden on the bottom, then flip, cover with a lid and bake until set.
4️⃣ Tear into pieces with two forks 🍴, then lightly caramelise with butter, sugar and vanilla sugar.
5️⃣ Arrange on warm plates 🍽️, dust with icing sugar and serve. ✨🤤
