A journey into jazz

Concert-dialogue on the occasion of his 85th birthday. Prelude to the 30th anniversary of MeranOJazz. In dialogue with musicologist Stefano Zenni.

Franco D'Andrea will set the tone for the evening with a solo concert that brings the musical journey to life. His improvisations combine reflection and spontaneity, revealing the freedom that has always characterised jazz. The prelude evening promises an inspiring start to the festival anniversary – a dialogue between image, word and sound that brings the history of jazz to life and opens up new horizons.
It is organised in collaboration between the Muspilli cultural association and the cultural department of the municipality of Merano and will take place on 31 March at 8 p.m. in the theatre in the old town of Merano. It takes place in the context of Franco D'Andrea's 85th birthday.

From 14 to 19 July, the 30th edition of MeranOjazz will take place with its academy, festival and exciting guests.
