“Waalwege” trails are the favourite hiking trails of visitors to the region of Lana. These routes follow ancient irrigation channels that are still in use and are therefore leisurely and flat. ⛰️🌿 There are two Waalwege trails that conveniently start from Lana and its surroundings:
- The Brandis Waalweg, which connects the centre of Lana with Niederlana.
- The Marlinger Waalweg, which not only connects Tscherms and its beautiful Lebenberg Castle with the village of Marling, but also other places.
Info:
- There is currently a small diversion on the Brandis Waalweg.
- From Marling, you can easily return to Lana by public transport (lines 211, 245 and 246).
