Austrian Cabaret Prize - Sonja Pikart, born in Aachen, has lived in Vienna for 15 years, where she completed her acting studies with a Bachelor of Arts degree. In the Austrian cabaret scene, she has been a conscientious and shrewd observer of socio-political imbalances and developments for years.
‘Halb Mensch’ is her 4th solo programme. Sonja Pikart dissects our existence in painful detail and puts herself under the knife in the process. In her head, the major themes of feminism and patriarchy, climate protection and hedonism, veganism and humanism wrestle with each other. She draws absurd comparisons which, on further reflection, are no longer so grotesque. Are we already living the apocalyptic nightmare we all feared, or is everything the same as always anyway? In October 2024, Pikart also won over the jury of the Austrian Cabaret Prize with ‘Halb Mensch’:
‘...a brilliant and madcap programme...’.
